About Me

Hi, I’m Karen, a certified child sleep consultant and founder of My Restful Sleep. If it’s sleep you’re after you’re in the right place! I know what a difference life is when the whole family can achieve quality sleep. As a mum of 3, I understand the need for sleep and how the lack of it can negatively impact the whole family.

From the moment I was pregnant, I often heard that I should say goodbye to sleep. After my first daughter was born, I was exhausted and sleep deprived doing everything I needed to do in desperation in getting her to sleep. Little sleep was perceived as ‘normal’ and I was never offered sleep advice as a new mum. Everything changed when I decided to hire a sleep consultant, with her guidance my daughter’s sleep improved and I felt more rested and started to enjoy family time. With my passion for sleep and knowing how better life is when the whole family is sleeping well, I decided to train as a sleep consultant. Now I’m lucky enough to gift families with sleep and help educate parents worldwide.

I have also trained as a Sleep Sense Consultant which methods have helped over 100,000 families around the world to improve their child’s sleep. As a certified baby and child sleep consultant, my goal is to provide you with guidance and support to achieve healthy and restful sleep for your little one. My approach is based on proven techniques and strategies that will give your child the tools to learn and establish strong, independent sleep skills that will last a lifetime.

Sleep Sense Certified Consultant
It is easier to teach good habits first than to correct bad habits later on.

Sleep is vital for your child’s development and children often need assistance in learning how to develop healthy sleep habits. As your sleep consultant I will assess your child’s sleep challenges and I will develop a bespoke step-by-step plan taking into account the best approach for your family. With my expertise, experience and training I will support and coach you through the process.

I believe having a well-rested child with independent sleep skills is the best gift you can give yourself and your family.

No matter what sleep challenges you are facing whether it’s bedtime battles, late bedtimes, early rising, night waking, issues with daytime naps, dropping night feeds, moving a child to a big bed, moving out of a parent’s bed or anything else related to sleep then I would love to help you. We will work together to come up with a plan that will suit you and your family, tailored to your child’s individual needs.
